Diwan
The purpose of this group is to continue the work of connecting hearts - individually and communally - to the creative inspiration of the Creator, and to the intimate gifts of companionship with the Friend. We wish to continue to tend to the seeds that have been planted in the workshop we have experienced together. And to be of assistance on the journey of creative exploration and expression. Like the workshop, this group will consist of a shared online space (private FB group) where all can share their writings and reflections and comment and interact with each other freely. It will be more fluid than the workshops in that it will consist of a weekly writing prompt and a bi-weekly Zoom session - as opposed to a more intensive curriculum. I will also be very present in this group - giving feedback on poems and reflections, so inshAllah it will provide the space for long term connection and growth as well as sustained feedback on your writing journey. It will also allow all participants to continue to share and comment on each others poems and reflections and to serve as mirrors for each other as fellow creatives on the spiritual path. We are calling this group The Diwan. Diwan is an Arabic word which means assembly, court, or council. It is also the word for a collection of poems of a given poet. Welcome to The Diwan.
